Although we both grew up in the Philadelphia area just five minutes from each other, our paths somehow never crossed. It wasn’t until we both arrived at Penn State in 2018 that fate finally stepped in. Who would have imagined that two college students on their first day at Penn State would feel an instant spark that would grow into forever? Between classes, basketball, and getting to know each other more each day, that first connection quickly grew into something truly special. During COVID, when the world slowed down, our relationship only grew stronger, and it was during that time we made one of our best decisions yet, getting our son, also known as our dog Zeus. Raising him together during such an unusual season taught us patience, teamwork, and how to show up for each other no matter what. When Izaiah transferred to Iowa State, we took on long distance and proved that miles couldn’t weaken what we were building. After closing the distance, we started our next chapter living together in Birmingham, learning how to build a home and daily life side by side. Now our adventure has taken us even farther, all the way to New Zealand, where we are continuing to grow, explore, and make memories together. From growing up minutes apart to building a life across states and across the world, every step has led us here, and we cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
