It was the fall of 2014, Bobby had just transferred to the school I was already attending in the beginning of sophomore year. We met briefly through a mutual friend but wouldn’t talk very much after that. We would later find out we were hanging out in the same friend groups and sit at the same lunch tables but again wouldn’t talk much after that. That was until we were both invited to a high school football game through mutual friends. Conveniently at this football game, Bobby and I sat next to each other (we still think this was set up to this day), and I got cold so Bobby offered his jacket and from there we started talking and found out we had a lot in common. We talked everyday until he asked me on my first date in November of 2014 (which my mom said she HAD to chaperone) and later to be his girlfriend on December 5th, 2014. From there the rest is history.

Bobby and I planned a trip to California together in November 2021. Bobby talked with my family to plan a surprise engagement on the beaches of Carmel (one of my favorite places). When we flew in Bobby told me we were going to take family pictures on the beach to commemorate his parents’ first time flying with us to California. However when we got to the beach there were rose petals lined up that led to a heart where Bobby stood and popped the question. Of course, my answer was yes! From there we met at an Italian restaurant and had dinner to celebrate.
