In the peak of a pandemic, where normal social settings are far (6 feet to be exact) and few in between, we found each other on a dating app. We were both in our junior year at Aurora University but had barely crossed paths before swiping right. After weeks of texting, late night phone calls, and one negative COVID test, we were finally able to meet in person. Since then our lives have been pure adventure and we're beyond excited to celebrate the best day of our lives with our family and friends.

With undergrad at Aurora coming to an end, there was no question where our next steps would be. EVERYWHERE, we were two traveling fools. At the end of our cruise trip with our moms, we landed ourselves in the heart of Italy. Phil patiently waited for the right moment, despite Susan and Angela wanting him to get it over with already. Next to a statue that reminded us of our strong connection, he popped the question and without hesitation (and in tears) Katie said yes. Florence quickly became our favorite city, and now the start of our forever.
