We have made the decision to cancel our wedding with the pandemic in full force and a baby on the way. This was a tough choice, but for the best.

Our Story

Ciara and I met about 5 years ago while attending a Bachelor/Bachelorette party in South Lake Tahoe. Two of my best friends were getting married in October of 2015, and I was tasked with setting up a combined party for everyone. On the first night of the weekend, I was informed that a couple more friends of the bride would be coming to join us for dinner. Naturally, I was irritated because we had already planned on a certain number of people for dinner....Oh, how quickly that changed. Ciara walked into the room wearing this black dress that I will never forget. We knew by the end of that weekend that we had a real connection. There was just a slight issue....she was already dating someone. So, I patiently waited...well not patiently at all if you ask anybody else. Fast forward a year and a half, and we run into each other again at a party. I helped plan a 30th birthday party for the same friend that had gotten married. Basically, every time I threw a good party...Ciara showed up. This time, I wasn't going to let her leave without telling her how I felt. Somehow it worked, and a short time after that we went on our first date. It didn't take long for us to realize that we had something special. Even our dogs got along, so something was going right. Ciara took the big leap when she decided to move in with me even though I was living with some other guys in our version of a bachelor pad. After a while of living there, we were ready to get our own place and decided to buy a home together in July of 2018. I finally took the not so subtle hints from people asking when I was going to take the next step. I decided to go for it in March of 2019, and asked her to marry me. I have been known as the male version of "27 Dresses", and she is been called the female version of "Good Luck Chuck". It is just another reason it was meant to be. We are both ready to ditch those nicknames, and start our own story.
