The wedding is cocktail attire, which means nice but not too fancy! Basically, dress like yourself on a fun, celebratory night out!
We are not providing guest shuttle service to and from the Cookery. However, all three hotels are less than a mile from the venue! Feel free to walk or take a 4 minute car ride. The Residence Inn has a courtesy shuttle for any guests who are staying there!
Our ceremony will be outside, weather permitting, at the Cookery. The reception will be inside no matter what!
The Cookery provides a valet parking service, which we have added to our wedding. Valet parking will be complimentary, but we strongly encourage anyone who will be drinking to walk, Uber/Lyft or take Residence Inn's courtesy shuttle!
Yes, we want to accommodate you however we can! Please reach out to our wedding coordinator, Emily Izakowitz, with your dietary needs: emily.izakowitz@gmail.com. We will be serving a family style meal so it will be easy to pick and choose what you eat!
We love your children and toddlers so much (seriously...so much). However, we are hoping to have an adults only wedding, which means that if you are traveling in from out of town and want to enjoy Durham with your family, we would love to help you find a babysitter for Saturday evening! Please email us at the above listed address if you need childcare. If, once June comes around, you have a young infant, we of course understand that your infant will need to come with you to the wedding, and there is private space at the Cookery to nurse if that's your preference. Otherwise, we hope that new parents take this opportunity for a Saturday night out or weekend away!
We are hosting a rehearsal dinner for immediate family and the bridal party only. But, we would love for you to join us for some informal drinks at the Durham Hotel's rooftop bar following our rehearsal dinner! We have some restaurant suggestions on our "things to do" page, should you choose to come in Friday evening, which we highly recommend, as Durham is very fun!
