We are so excited for you to join us in the beautiful, but HOT, Austin Texas! Please bring good walking shoes and cool clothes, as it will be hot and many of the things to do are outdoors and walking! In most areas there are also scooters, you can book the "Lime" scooters on the Uber app. Below we noted some of our favorite spots, as well as Austin classics!
A legendary shopping area with many Austin staples. Find live music, shopping, food & drinks, and more! On the weekend, they often have flea markets as well. The address is for Homeslice, which is one of the top pizza places in Austin.
This is an Austin classic. A 9 hole par three golf course with views of downtown. One of our favorite things to go do! The burger truck there is AMAZING (not the hotdogs don't listen to the cook). They also sell the most landshark beer in the country!
Another Austin classic. This is a fun, family owned and run putt-putt place near Downtown. BYOB as well!
In the spirit of getting as much of Austin in as little time as possible, this is an old shake and hamburger joint near the golf locations above that is very solid and beats the price and quality of the Whataburger next door.
If you want to have a nice dinner with your person go here! Reservations are recommended. Awesome rooftop restaurant that has Garrett's all time favorite drink - Apple Sidecar. It has a great view of downtown without having to deal with the people or the traffic!
Our favorite cheat meal. When we found it, we ate here 3 days in a row just because it was that good. Its a sports place but the Thai Chicken Tenders will blow your mind.
The Mexican chain that we had our first date at. Grace knew he was the one when he ordered the steak burrito instead of ground beef for her.
There are a bunch of parks in the Austin area that are shaded and will be very nice to walk around if you want something easy to do. The park Austin is famous for, and we love, is Zilker. The address is attached to this recommendation.
Want to go for a really pretty hike? This is a great option! If we have had rain you can even go swimming.
A trip to North Austin, the Domain is one of the places you can spend a whole day walking around!
A beautiful classic town with wineries and great barbecue. About a 30-45 minute drive.
