I was a freshmen in college and he was a sophomore. I was sitting outside on a blanket in front of the fountain while working on some homework. He approached me, and asked to sit next to me. We talked for what felt like hours, and I thought that the sparks were flying. Long story short I never finished my homework that afternoon, and he, thinking he was too awkward, abruptly stood up and left. That night after never hearing back from him, I jumped the gun and messaged the handsome guy whom I’ve just met. His reply was something along the lines of “I was just about to message you too!”. Three years later we are loving our life together and are about to tie the knot ♥️🥰♥️
I've had the ring for eight months and now, on our two year anniversary, I would ask her for her hand. I worked night shift the night before and tried to get some sleep before the proposal but I was so darn excited and nervous that I couldn't sleep. After laying in bed for 3 hours running all the different ways the proposal could play out in my head, I decided to jump out of bed and get things started. I contacted her mom, her dad, my parents, and her best friend with all my thoughts and they worked on it secretly. When the time came I had her get dressed for a "fancy place" and told her it was a surprise. We got all dressed up and I took her to a park we both use to hang out at before we started dating. There my guitar, tons of roses, and a perfect backdrop with pictures of us were waiting. I played the song "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis Presley and after my dorky self missed most of the guitar chords out of pure nervousness, I got on one knee and asked her to marry me!
