We both attended James Madison University – Go Dukes! We first met when we joined Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity. Later, when we both happened to join the Harrisonburg Rescue Squad, we became best friends. 10 years later, he put a ring on it!

We were in the Outer Banks with Chad’s family for a weekend vacation. While there, Chad employed the help of his dad, David, and his brother, Dustin, to set up the proposal site. Chad asked Pat to take a post-dinner walk. While walking along the beach, in the distance, Pat noticed tiki torches and Chad suggested we check it out. When we got closer, there was a blanket with chairs, flowers, and champagne surrounded by the tiki torches. He got down on one knee and proposed.
