While Michael will say they met in 2008, Savannah doesn’t remember meeting Michael until the spring musical “Crazy For You” in 2010. She had her friends ask Michael to prom for her and the rest is history!
After 5 years of distance getting our degrees at the University of Delaware and The Culinary Institute of America, we packed our bags and made Raleigh, NC our home...until Michael moved to Jekyll Island in March 2017. After another 2 years apart, Michael moved back to Raleigh.
7.11.18 was the most perfect day. At the north lighthouse on Block Island, Michael set up a tripod to “take pictures” and filmed the most amazing moment - our proposal!
Savannah's bridal shower on February 29th was our final count down (77 days) to what we thought would be our wedding day! Instead, very shortly after, the world was hit with the COVID-19 pandemic. After weeks of stress (& lots of wine) we postponed our wedding to August 29th, 2020. With so much uncertainty in the world, we couldn't wait any longer and got married in a small ceremony on May 15th - our 10 year anniversary knowing in just a few months we could celebrate with our family & friends. Here we are today, mid July, and still unable to celebrate with you all. We are forced to postpone our wedding celebration again until May 29, 2021. While this is not even closed to what we planned, we know it will be everything we hoped for once it happens! We can't thank you enough for the love and support over these past few months and can't wait to live it up on the dance floor! Wear a mask & wash your hands! XOXO - The Williamsons
