Through one of Nicks best friends, who is also in the wedding, Tyler Kennedy. Facebook helped jump start us "internet flirting" though! It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in 2016 & I was at the Annual Montgomery Thanksgiving at my Uncle Johnny and Kathryns and it was around 3 AM I asked to have people over, thankfully my cousin Jordan took the lead and told them to come over! He then Facebook messaged me (which I didn't see for over a week because I wasn't on FB messenger at the time, glad I somehow saw it!) After that Nick went back to work in Maine & I went back to school in Bloomington, I remember telling my roommate I hung with him and thought he was so cute, he then proceeded to start calling me... I was so nervous. Who doesn't just text someone in 2016? HA! After that he came home for Christmas and then I flew out to see him in February and we went on adventures in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts! Shortly after we became "boyfriend & girlfriend"
Breckenridge, Colorado! It was a dream come true, Nick and my Dad had just skied down from the highest chairlift in America, plus a couple other bumps in the road (took over two hours!). When they got back I had been sitting with Kim for two hours outside, so I was pretty much done with skiing for the day, Nick was persistent on making sure we got one more run in... So I went, it was beautiful and a blast, I asked Nick to stop and take a picture with me. All of a sudden he stop, pops off his skis, sticks his ski poles into the ground, and I thought to myself wow, were about to get a sweet picture, he is really into this for once, so we take a selfie and as I was putting my phone away, I turned around to him on his knee with the most beautiful ring. I think I cried for 24 hours straight after that!
