Katie and I met on team Firestorm (soccer) in the 5th grade. We talked to each other way to much that our coach had to put us on opposite ends of the field so we wouldn't distract each other during the game. We have been best friends ever since, despite the distance between us. Routy and Louty forever.

Joshua Swinton

Joshua and Melanie met through Brittney, since both Brittney and Joshua went to FSU. Instantly Joshua and Melanie became friends and have been friends ever since. When Melanie first told Joshua about her "first" date with Brett and how Brett wanted to take Melanie to a fancy restaurant for a first date and Melanie said it was way too much and not appropriate, Joshua was the first to correct Melanie's mistake; he said that that is what happens on first dates. Brett and Melanie are grateful for Joshua's wise words then, and look forward to more wise words as their Officiant.

Godfather/Brother of the Bride

Adam is Melanie's older brother and Godfather. Adam is the best big brother out there, and took care of his younger sisters as they grew-up, teaching us a lot of important things. Important things like Batman is the best superhero, how to be strong with the force, and that Sarge always enjoyed car rides home from Melanie's high school soccer practices. Adam will do the honors of giving Melanie away to Brett.
