In August of 2015 we both decided to pack up what we had to head down to Georgia. We had both accepted graduate assistant positions at Mercer University in a small city named Macon. What was an exciting chance for both of us to further our education and careers, turned into so much more. The Saturday before classes started we met at a small party with all of the GA's. I (Albert) walked into the suite where everyone was and started quickly getting names thrown at me and meeting new people who would be working with me. One person stuck out to me, the beautiful blonde girl sitting straight across the table from me. We would chat here and there during the party and I started to wonder if there might be a little spark there. I left the party wondering "how can I hang out with that girl again?" Unfortunately for me, I had to wait. The fall went by and we had the chance to hang out a few times, but when I think back to our watershed moment, I think back to the 2016 National Football Championship game. We were at another party and I bet her dinner on it. Of course she took Alabama and I had Clemson. Thankfully, Clemson lost (Roll Tide!, right Carolyn?) and I had a reason to pay for her dinner one night. After that, and a few more dates that followed, it was the smoothest of sailing from there.
