How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We recommend taking a ride share to the venue. Type in Gold Gulch Parking Lot; you can have them drop you off all the way at the back gate near the Pavilion; there is a turnaround spot a bit past this gate. If you type in “Japanese friendship gardens” this will bring you to the wrong entrance ~10 minute walk from the lower garden entrance. You can also drive to the venue but please let us know in advance so that we can provide you with a permit.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome and encouraged to attend our wedding celebration!

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies are encouraged to wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen can wear suits or sport coats with dress pants. The wedding will be partially outdoors and it will be warm in San Diego in August. There will be a short walk between the ceremony and reception with in the gardens and guests are invited to stroll the grounds during cocktail hour.

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during our ceremony. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
