How do we reserve a hotel room at the castle?
Answer
We will be creating a excel or google sheet for you to put your names next to which room you would like. We will take that list and send it to the castle by February 1st. You will then have a reserved room that will be discounted 15%. More information will follow on making the reservation. It will be through Holly or Cory and not through the venue for now. If you book online, you will not be able to get the discount.

Who do we give the money to when it comes to paying for our reserved rooms?

DO NOT PAY US. You will pay at a later date, not when making reservation. You will pay the castle directly.

How do we convert USD to GBP (British Pound, the currency used in the country our wedding will be)?
Answer
The best way to convert USD to GBP is as follows: 1. (Most Convenient): You can get cash from any ATM. This is a convenient option, however, we suggest checking with your bank for the credit or debit card to check the fees. Some banks reimburse ATM fees. Some may have higher fees because of currency exchange and foreign transactions. Please check with your specific bank. 2. Anyone can exchange currency of cash USD for cash of British pounds in the airport. I would expect a small fee. 3. Lowest fee You can check with your local bank or with travel agencies such as AAA and they offer to exchange for cash in many foreign currencies. Check with your bank if interested in this option.

Can I Bring A Plus One
Answer
The only people invited to the wedding are the ones listed on the invitation. If the person you want to bring to the wedding is not listed on the invite, you cannot bring them unless the bride and groom have told you specifically otherwise.

How Do You Get to the Castle From Newcastle International Airport
Answer
The easiest way would be to uber (would cost about 30 Pound or GDP). You could also get on the metro right outside of the airport , take it to Newcastle central station, take another train from Newcastle central station to Chester-Le-Street station and either walk 30 min or take an uber.

If you rent a car, it will take approximately 4hr 30min to drive to the venue. Train takes the same amount of time.

If I live in Indiana, what is the best way to fly there?
Answer
If possible, try flying out of Chicago or JFK. If not possible, Air Lingus is offering a flight out of Indianapolis with one layover in Dublin instead of every other flight having 2 layovers. Prices for all flights as of 1/26/2026 start at $397 one way and go up to $3,128 one way for economy.

If I live in Connecticut or New York, what is the easiest way for me to fly?
Answer
If residing in Connecticut or New York, flying out of Hartford is not a bad option. As of 1/26/2026 Flights start at $411 one way in economy class. Most flights have 2 layovers. JFK is a about $100 more expensive for the flight and parking is very expensive compared to Hartford. But, flights out of JFK typically have one layover and a lot shorter of a flight time. Newark airport is also a decent option. As of 1/26/2026 one way flights start at $354 and most flights only have one layover. LaGuardia is about the same as JFK expect most flights have 2 layovers. Newark or Hartford are options I would suggest.
