In a world full of technology (and dating apps galore), it’s easy to overlook how something so modern could lead to something (or someone) so special. While dating apps often get a bad rap, for us, one of them led to forever. It all began with a right swipe, a mutual match, and a simple message. Before we knew it, we were planning our first date. Though, it did take a little work (and some gentle encouragement) to get Brandon to stop dodging Katlyn. (wink, wink) It was just after Christmas 2019 when we met at Buffalo Wild Wings. What started as a casual dinner turned into two hours of nonstop laughter and flirting. From there, our story took off. From movie dates, bowling nights, and even one especially memorable evening involving tissues, cough drops, and a very sick Katlyn. On January 11th, 2020, Brandon officially asked Katlyn to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Two young and carefree young adults enjoying life to the fullest. We went on adventures, made countless memories, and built a love that only grew stronger with time. Then, in 2022, life surprised us with the most beautiful twist: two pink lines. We were about to become parents! Nervous, excited, and completely unprepared, we embraced the journey together. In January 2023, our little bundle of joy arrived. A perfect baby boy who made our hearts and our family complete. But Brandon had one more chapter to write in this love story. On July 19th, 2024, he got down on one knee and asked the ultimate question: “Will you marry me?” After a few shocked “Are you serious?” moments, Katlyn said yes! And now, here we are, counting down the days until we say, “I do,” surrounded by the people we love most, ready to begin the next part of our forever.
