We met in 2010 working for KUFO, Norm was a DJ and I was on stage in a bikini and the rest was history. My first paid gig was to be the Dr. Pepper girl and spend every single Ducks home game traveling with Norm down to Eugene. Requiring us to spend countless mornings complaining about being up at 6am and trudging through the rain ("It never rains at Auzten" is a lie). After many years as friends and karaoke partners our chemistry was undeniable but the timing was never right until 6 years later on the rooftop of the Bossanova Ballroom the place where we had 1st met. We spent our time dancing the night away (yes, he dances, a lot) and have been inseparable ever since. That night has been one of many that has solidified our love for one another and has been story like. With each day we grow on our own and together, constantly feeling lucky to have found one another.
Norm had surprised me with a weekend getaway to the place where we 1st played house. An incredible in room jacuzzi suite overlooking the pacific coast, walking distance from a secret garden that we would frequent for years to come. After an exhausting hour drive ( I was hungover from my college graduation party) we arrived at our new home for the weekend, it was picture perfect. A little nap changed everything for me and after I awoke he had set the scene, rubber ducky and everything. Unexpectedly and very invently he pulled the ring box from behind a curtain ( like a magician) and proposed as we overlooked the ocean sunset covered in bubbles. Although it required immense balance he was able to get down on one knee and make me weep. We spent the rest of the weekend in complete bliss and it has carried over into everyday of our lives.
