Patrick was leaning against the side-wall of Stan's Donuts. An L train was rumbling above the track. He was drenched in dappled sunlight, on a beautiful October afternoon. I was delighted to catch him off guard - it was the 30 seconds I needed to decide if he was cute or if I should run away. :P Obviously...there was no question - we grabbed some coffee and donuts (Patrick had tea). I wont tell you about our two hour walk or how he spilled the tea on himself or how I was so relieved it was him spilling and not me. I will tell you about how that date finished - he handed me a gift card to buy an Anniversary Plant at Lowes. Why was that a big deal? 1) I'm a plant fanatic 2) He recalled me saying I had to put one plant back because I bought too many 3) I had just finished celebrating my Art Studio's Brick and Mortar Anniversary 4) It was so incredibly thoughtful! (That pretty much sums up Patrick - kind, thoughtful, and creative).
The above is largely accurate. However, the groom would like to emphasize how blown away he was by Christina: her looks, her charm, her laugh, and her aggressive street-crossing tactics. He also stipulates the amount of tea he spilled on himself was minimal and limited to the hand and sleeve region.
