Let's set the scene - Ashley was a Freshmen at Kennedy High School and Gary was a Sophomore. We met through a friend and bonded instantly over similar music tastes and mutual friends. Pre cell phone days Ashley and Gary communicated by passing notes in the hall way and AOL instant messenger. Sophomore year Ashley transferred to WAMS, but they remained in contact. They went to concerts together all of the time. It started out as just friends, but they began to like each other, however nothing ever came to be. When Ashley was in her senior year of college, Gary & Ashley reconnected and it was instant attraction. They hung out all of the time. She came home on the weekends just to be with him, but she wouldn't let it get too serious because she was trying to stay focused on finishing school. She distanced herself as her feelings for him grew stronger and stronger. In 2013, shortly after Gary's accident, fate reconnected them again. Ashley was working at the Comcast theater during a Rascal Flatts show and saw on Facebook that Gary was there. She texted him to see if they could meet up. When they saw each other for the first time she ran and jumped on him and gave him a big hug. The first two questions out of his mouth were, are you married and can I kiss you? With butterflies and excitement she said no & yes. Almost 7 years later here we are still SO in love and couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of our lives together.
