Due to the size of the venue we are limited to a small number of guests. Please refrain from bringing any additional guests who were not directly invited. If you are travelling with family or additional guests, they are welcome to join us on the Catamaran Tour on Saturday December 14th, but please let us know in advance.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be taking place at Casa Bendita in Playa Langosta. There will be signage identifying the venue from the street. The ceremony will commence at 4:15pm on the beach, which is accessible from the house. A cocktail hour and reception will follow the ceremony. Guests are encouraged to arrive early; light refreshments will be provided.
If you're coming from Tamarindo, the venue is most easily accessible by taxi or by foot- a mostly paved sidewalk will take you right to the wedding venue from downtown Tamarindo in roughly 15 minutes. If you're planning to drive into town, expect to arrive early to find parking. Casa Bendita is in a residential area, so you will be limited to streetside parking.
Beach Attire: Think linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, and sandals. Costa Rica can be hot and we want you to be comfortable so you can enjoy the event. Our wedding colors are the Blue of the sea or sky, Orange of the setting sun, and the Tan of the sand - please incorporate one or more of these into your outfit if possible.
In December Costa Rica enjoys a delightful transition from the rainy season to the dry season. You can expect warm temperatures, typically ranging from 22°C to 32°C (72°F to 89°F). The weather is generally hot and sunny with low humidity, making it a great time to enjoy the beaches and outdoor activities. There might be occasional brief showers, but they are usually light and infrequent. The ocean is warm and inviting, perfect for swimming and surfing.
During the reception Chef Sebastien Couratier will be curating a variety of dishes that can accommodate dietary preferences and allergies. The reception will feature an open bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Neither the Welcome Dinner hosted at Sofia Mediterraneo nor the Morning-After Brunch at Cala Luna will have a specific dress code. Both restaurants will have flexible options to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies. These events are provided at no cost to you as our "Thank You" for traveling to celebrate with us!
The Catamaran Tour on Saturday December 14th will be departing from Playa Tamarindo, findable via Google Maps at "Marlin del Rey - Pick up & drop off location". The boat departs at 1:30pm and you don't want to miss it so plan to arrive early! Come with a swimsuit, and plenty of sunscreen! Expect snorkeling and a sunset cruise back to Tamarindo. The boat will have an open bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and will provide lunch for all attendees.
