The couple met through mutual friends at a local bar in Wichita Falls, Texas. They arrived with friends and talked about movies and TV shows until the group moved to a barcade. Holly and Cody played arcade games there and Cody helped her win Mario Kart (or at least finish a race without spinning off a cliff). At the end of the night, Cody asked for Holly's number and they met up a few days later for a date. Fun Fact: Cody actually forgot Holly's name and had to sneak away to ask his friend at the bar.

The couple met at On the Border in Wichita Falls where they had margaritas and got to know each other. Afterward, they saw the movie Get Out. When the movie was over, Cody immediately drove Holly to her car and she worried that he didn’t like her after all. (It turned out Cody didn’t want to seem TOO interested and risk scaring Holly off)

Cody planned a brunch and then a trip to the Japanese Tea Gardens. A photographer waited for the couple to hit the right mark and then Cody got down on one knee and proposed in the same month that they met 3 years earlier. Afterward, the couple took photos in the gardens and had dinner overlooking San Antonio. Cody also planned a celebratory meet up with friends that night.
