We’re happy to share this exciting time with you and have created a space that shares everything you need to know about our big day. You’ll find all the fun details throughout our site, including a link to hotel options where we’ve blocked off rooms and a list of a few of our favorite restaurants around town. We’re regulars at Andia's and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We can’t wait to see you in North Carolina, and thank you for all your love and support! The countdown is officially on to November 7th. See you then! Love, Kimberly and Evan
Well, not really! Having gone to the same university, we first met each other at a popular coffee shop and bar on campus, The Oak House. We had overlapping mutual friends, but had not directly met each other until the Spring semester of our Senior year. After college, Kim moved back down to Florida to work for CBS Sports and Evan stayed local in North Carolina, living and working in his hometown of Durham. They continued to periodically keep in touch and in the Summer of 2017, Kim moved up to North Carolina (because she liked North Carolina and wanted to move back, so she says). In the Winter of 2017 after Kim was not scared off by the "trial by fire" of Evan's raucous friend group or Evan's bashing of the New England Patriots and slowly balding head, they started dating. Over the next several years their love and bond grew as they shared trips to Asheville, numerous pizza trips to Kim's favorite restaurant Pizzeria Toro, and countless concerts in the peak heat of North Carolina summers at Walnut Creek Amphitheater. Evan knew she was the one and is thrilled to marry his partner in crime!
We've always loved Asheville, and had been to the Biltmore once before. We hadn't visited to the winery yet, so we decided to make a special trip just so that we could experience it. After a really fun wine tasting, Evan suggested that we go take a walk around the Lagoon. It was supposed to have a pretty view of the Biltmore House and just be a nice spot to take in the scenery. As we walked up to the lake, I noticed that Evan was starting to get a little giddy. I turned to look at him and he had the biggest smile on his face as he bent down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I kept on repeating...oh my gosh...followed by a very excited yes!
