Valerie and Caiti met while in Florida International University and bonded over a conversation about how they both liked cows while driving to a party at the beach. She was the only person Valerie had ever met who got as excited as her about the fact that they saw cows on the way to the beach. Throughout the years, Caiti, Gerry and Valerie have made dozens of silly videos and made many wonderful memories together. Caiti has been a great friend to both and they can't wait to see each other to celebrate! She is a loving and caring human being and so we say, Long Live The Wig!

Teresita is Gerry's older sister and an amazing person! Gerry always has thought of her a second mother, and a great one at that. Valerie and Tere started getting to know one another when Valerie asked for her help in sewing her Twilight Princess Zelda Cosplay dress, and she found Tere to be a nice and genuine person with whom she shared a connection with. She has proven to be a great, and rare, friend! Gerry, Valerie and Teresita have shared many great times together including a Spring Feast which they will always remember fondly!
Miguel Nieves
Witness
Miguel is Gerry's brother in law. He became part of the family many years ago and is the father of Gerry's nephews and niece. They share in common a love of music and Miguel's brotherly love has always been a welcome and treasured part of Gerry's life. Valerie thinks Miguel is hilarious, sweet, and has always been happy to spend time with him. She really enjoys beating Miguel at board games, or at least trying to, and they have planned an outing to the Everglades that they must see happen before this year ends! Miguel rocks!
Luis Villar Vivas
Godfather of the Bride
Luis, also known as Lucho, is Valerie's godfather and has always been a second father to her. When Valerie was little, they used to have drawing contests where they would spend a long time creating characters with backstories entering a pageant. It was one of Valerie's favorite activities! Another favorite was when Lucho would play with her and her stuffed animals and they would make little hats out of paper. Valerie has so many nice memories about growing up in Peru because her Godfather made it extra special for her! Gerry reached out to Luis when he wanted to propose to Valerie back in 2016, and they both met for the first time at the end of the year when Valerie and Gerry visited Peru!
