We first met in high school during a study hall class. Ryan was not shy and came up to Nicole striking a conversation. Having gym class the period after, Ryan wanted to show off his basketball skills during a game of knock-out with Nicole and her friends, striking everyone out except her. When it came down to the wire Ryan made a bet, if he knocked out Nicole then she would go on a date with him and the rest is history! Till about 2013, where Ryan and Nicole took a "vacation" from each other for about 3 years. Never losing contact, one day Ryan and Nicole ran into each other at Black Bear bar in Hoboken and we guess it was love at second sight.

Ryan told Nicole weeks ago that he had a work brunch in Hoboken on January 26th, 2020 and she had to come. The weekend comes and Nicole goes to a party the night before where she had a little too much fun. Being hungover the next day (THE DAY) Nicole is moving slowly as Ryan is helping her to get ready. They head out by walking towards the water with frequent stops. Nicole thinks its odd but leading up to this day Ryan was struggling with health issues so Nicole chalked it up to that. As they get closer, Ryan tells Nicole that the brunch crew is taking a pic by the water. Gullably following him, they head to the water. Once we get to the water, Nicole is looking for Ryan's coworkers and Ryan drops to one knee. In shock, Nicole drops to him and says the magic words, "Are you sure?"... then of course "YES!" Ryan planned for a photographer to catch the moment and both families to be on stand by waiting with their two dogs. It was magical in our favorite place.
