What are the dress codes for different events?

Welcome cocktail: cocktail Ceremony and reception: formal Retour de mariage*: dressy casual.

for the French: what do American dress codes mean?

Answer

Cocktail: A lady might choose to wear a knee- or tea-length dress, with or without a hat. A gentleman might choose to wear a suit without a tie, and he may also choose a patterned shirt. Formal: A lady might choose to wear either a floor-length dress or a tea-length dress with a millinery hat. A gentleman might choose to wear a suit with a dress shirt and a tie. Dressy casual: A lady might choose to wear a pretty summer dress and sandals. A gentleman might choose to wear either a button-up with chino pants or shorts. Wear shoes you can play cornhole** in ;)

Answer

A French tradition: a relaxed picnic lunch the day following the wedding. This one will hopefully feature Tyler's homegrown oysters!

when should we arrive for the ceremony?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony to have time to be seated and settle in.
