We met very briefly in Toledo, OH before German found out he had been hired to work in California. We couldn't help but stay in touch, dated long-distance for one year, moved in together and are now settled in Mission Viejo, CA.

We were in Atlanta, GA watching family members race the marathon trials at the end of February 2020. German surprised Liz at the botanical gardens on one knee. Neither one of them could have known that they would be engaged for over a year and elope before seeing their families again due to the pandemic. The months at home brought the couple closer, especially when German had to care for Liz after she had surgery on a broken hand.

Even though we are already legally married, we are so excited to celebrate with friends and family. We love you all and couldn't pass up this chance to celebrate with everyone we love!
