We like to say our story started with a little swipe, a little sarcasm, and a lot of sushi. Neither of us were big believers in online dating, until fate (and a clever algorithm) brought us together on Hinge in 2022. Our very first conversation was sparked by something completely random: Julie’s love for Taco Bell, proudly displayed on her profile, and Dylan’s strong opinion against it. That playful disagreement led to a conversation full of humor, good banter, and the kind of connection that feels easy from the start. Our first date was at a local all-you-can-eat sushi spot... something we now look back on as the perfect metaphor: endless conversation, lots of laughter, and a shared love of food (even if we still don’t agree on Taco Bell). Dylan had recently moved to Jacksonville after graduating from college in Wisconsin, following his parents to Florida. Born in Costa Rica and raised in the Midwest, he was adjusting to a new life in a new city. Julie, a Jacksonville native, never expected that the person she’d been waiting for would come from so far away, but God has a funny way of writing stories better than we ever could. Over the years, our relationship has been filled with laughter, growth, faith, and love. We’ve shared countless memories, learned from each other, and built a foundation rooted in trust and God’s grace. In September 2025, Dylan proposed in Lake Como, Italy, and with full hearts, we said yes to forever. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you — the people who have supported us, encouraged us, and walked alongside us.
