Our dress code is semi-formal, which means that dinner suits and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. National dress is encouraged, as are bright colours.
Yes! We would however appreciate that the wedding ceremony is as noiseless as possible. To facilitate this there will be a separate room close to the ceremony room, where children can play with various toys and games. This room will be available all day.
Buxton is a very walkable town, but if you are driving, the hotel has a valet service. Alternatively, on-street parking is available around the area.
In short, no. We know that many of you are spending plenty of time and money travelling from abroad, and your presence is gift enough for us. If despite this you wish to buy a gift, please contact the bride's mother Linda on (+44) 7923 616 588 or aandlmccay@btinternet.com.
We prefer that you don't take pictures during the ceremony - that's what our professional photographer is for! Feel free to take other pictures during the day, but we ask that you don't post any on social media.
Yes, we aim to keep all hangriness at bay! There will be canapes during the cocktail hour (from 12:30 until 2:00) and we will start the wedding breakfast at 14:00. This will be a three-course meal. In addition, there will be a buffet style dinner during the evening reception. We will gather information about food allergies or preferences with the RSVPs.
When you RSVP, there is an option to add any dietary preferences or restrictions. If you have forgotten to do this, just drop us a message.
