It all started with an “accidental” friend request in a popular game (called Draw Something) that was played amongst high school aged kids in 2012. The friend request was followed up by a Facebook direct message where I (Caitlyn) asked Zach “did you mean to request me?” And the rest is history. We had mutual friends in the neighborhood where Zach grew up. This leads me to where we first met in person, in their driveway one day after school when kids still played outside for fun. We were drawing with chalk and being awkward of course. We played our game , texted constantly, and eventually went on our first date, you guessed it - a movie. At the end of the movie in front of the theatre , where we were waiting for our rides to pick us up ( because yes we were children) Zach did not ask me to be his girlfriend he grabbed my hand and simply said “you’re my girlfriend now”.
Fast Forward 10 years.. A Christmas to remember❤️ It was Christmas morning and Zach took me on a walk down to our friends house where we first met in the driveway. He had created a proposal message with chalk to bring back the memories of when we first met. It said “Where our story began and the next chapter begins, Caitlyn will you marry me ? Of course it brought me to tears and was the most thoughtful way to ask me to marry him. The easiest yes I could ever say.
