If you really want to get a sense of Durham, check out the Farmers Market and Food Truck Rodeo on Saturday morning. For a true Durham experience, pick up a Locopop and look out for our local celebrity, the Hedgehog Guy.

Durham Farmer's Market

The largest (and cutest!) collection of lemurs outside of Madagascar. You'll have to make a reservation pretty far in advance, but we think it's worth the visit just to see Grendel, the aye-aye.

Duke Lemur Center

A dog-friendly, neighborhood brewery with board games and ping pong--one of our regular spots. If you like IPAs, try the Rocket Science; it's Adam's favorite.

Fullsteam Brewery

Best ice cream in Durham, hands down. Gerdeses, the "Vietnamese Coffee" ice cream does not disappoint.

The Parlour

One of our favorite spots for a weekend picnic or afternoon stroll. Go before 10:00 am for excellent dog watching.

Duke Gardens

This one comes highly rated by some of the south's most prestigious food critics. "This is like the best pizza ever," says Mike Gerdes.
