McGregor is a chilled and beautiful 2.25 drive from Cape Town. We suggest grabbing a car from Cape Town Airport if you'd like to have some freedom. We highly recommend keeping the car for your stay to visit wineries in the area and to explore Cape Town and its surrounding areas
Travel Note
Shuttles from McGregor to the farm will be organised across the weekend for guests. McGregor is very walkable, friendly and has loads to do so get stuck in! The farm is a 25 minute walk from town for the more adventurous.
Travel Note
Cape Town is a wonderful city to explore, and will be your entry point for the Wedding. Closer to the date we will update this section with a list of things to see and do in CT. We're also planning on having a bit of a party around the 19th of December in Cape Town for whoever is still about!
Travel Note
If you're desperate to see some of South Africa's incredible wild animals, you might want to consider heading up to Kruger National Park and the private game reserves in the north of the country. This will require flights and a whole other plan, but will be worth your while. We can recommend Umlani Bush Camp, which is our cousin's lovely bush camp near Kruger. For Animals closer to the wedding, we've made this spreadsheet
Travel Note
Cape Agulhas is the southern most tip of the continent of Africa, and well worth a trip if you're looking for somewhere to visit that is within the region of the wedding / Cape Town.
Travel Note
The wedding is taking place in one of the best wine tasting regions of South Africa, so be sure to check out the beautiful cellars in the area. Closer to the date we'll give a list of wineries to check out that are nearby.
