Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would like for everyone to look and feel their best at our wedding. Dress to celebrate! We would suggest semi formal/cocktail attire. However, there is no limit to how fancy you can dress! If wanted, no one will stop you from dressing black tie! Please no jeans, t-shirts, or athletic shoes. Please do not wear white! There is not a definitive theme for the wedding. The decor is inspired with fantasy and florals/"garden party" elements. The wedding party is mixed colors, with the bridemaids in shades of green and the groomsmen shades of blue.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception are located at the same location, the Wolf and Harp! This is at 76 Pleasant St. in Norway, Maine.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside on the Wolf and Harp ceremony deck. The reception hall is located on the same property and is an indoor carriage house for dinner and dancing. If feeling crowded, guests are welcome to sit outside of the carriage house at the tables to get some air! If there is rain, we will be having both the ceremony and the reception in the carriage house!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Maine in August is typically quite warm, with the average highs being around 75-80°F and lows around 55-60°F.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest limit to abide by, per venue rules/regulations. We will only be able to accomodate those listed on your wedding invitation. There are stickers put on the back of the invitations indicating if a plus 1 was given. If you have any questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to reach out for clarification.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Short answer- yes! We are not having a specifically "child free" wedding. However, please note that there is a strict guest limit, per the wedding venue. If your family is listed on your invitation, this absolutely includes children. If there are questions on this, please do not hesitate to reach out to clarify.

Question

Do you have a hotel block? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do *not* have a hotel block set up. However, the wedding venue is about 15-20 minutes from the Oxford Casino Hotel and the Hampton Inn Oxford Hotel. Both of these hotels are right next to each other! There are also a few VRBO and airbnb options nearby, however the hotels are the most common accomodation!
