Our story begins with a twist of fate—and a bottle of water. Mark and Georgia first crossed paths through Georgia’s brother, Owen, who was a close friend and wrestling teammate of Mark’s. One day, Owen asked Mark to grab a water from his sister. What seemed like a simple favor turned into something far more meaningful. In his rush, Mark accidentally stepped on a kid’s iPad—but in that chaotic moment, he met Georgia. And just like that, something clicked. Not long after, Mark attended Owen’s graduation party. It was there he asked Georgia out on their first date—and from that day forward, they were inseparable. Eventually, life pulled them in different directions: Mark became a United States Marine, and Georgia entered nursing school full time. What started as a love built side by side turned into one that had to stretch across distance, time zones, and busy schedules. Through FaceTime calls, text messages, and the rare but treasured visit, they stayed connected. Even when it wasn’t easy, their love never wavered.
