THE FIRST TIME WE MET... As many of you probably know, we first officially met at school and quickly became friends as teenagers, we always had a little soft spot for each other but were both too shy to act on it! A few years go by and there was plenty of rejections such as Georgia literally running away from Luke when he wanted 'a chat' and Luke explaining to Georgia he was 'still in love with his ex' at the age of 14 (cringe). We both left Bablake at 16 and didn't see each other for a few years! THE FIRST KISS... At the age of 18 at the Colly (classic) we shared a kiss in the side room with the words 'Why do you kiss so sideways' and 'Why are you so small'. We clearly again weren't too impressed so we left it for another few years... BOYFRIEND & GIRLFRIEND... On St. Patrick's Day, while both a little drunk, Luke sent Georgia a Facebook message and from there, we couldn’t stop talking. That was it! One of our first dates ended in The Oak in Coventry and Luke really romantically asked Georgia to be his girlfriend in the City Arms (classy). Georgia has since worked on Luke's choice of venues, hence the South of France wedding... OUR FIRST HOUSE... On the 26th August 2022 we finally got the keys to our first house together and (to Georgia's dismay) spent a year renovating. We moved in exactly one year later on 26th August 2023 (pure coincidence!). FOREST... We can't write about our story without including a mention of the best decision we have ever made... Forest. Whilst on a family holiday in Marbella we had a call from Georgia's dad Mark and step mum Katie about a little black Labrador who needed a new home. This felt like such a 'meant to be' moment for us. After a pros and cons list (mostly pros) and secret chat with each of Luke's siblings, we'd pretty much decided we wanted him. We just needed to tell Luke's mum Lorraine who was scared of dogs, tell Georgia's mum Michelle that a little dog was moving in with her for a few months, and we also needed actually meet him! On 14th May 2023 we met Forest and immediately fell in love, we picked him up days later on 21st May 2023 and he has been a dream ever since! THE PROPOSAL... Fast forward a few years later (a few too many if you ask Georgia), Luke finally proposed at a sunset in Lisbon on 22nd August 2024. Portugal has been a special place for the both of us so this really felt like the perfect location! THE WEDDING That leads us to now! We're so excited to be getting married in France and we can't wait for you to all see our dream wedding venue. We hope that you all treat our wedding weekend as a little break for yourselves to rewind and relax and enjoy a bit of sunshine!
