Question

Travelling to Volos

Answer

For most guests arriving from outside Greece, the easiest way is to fly into Athens International Airport (ATH). From there, you have two convenient options to reach Volos: by car or by bus. Renting a Car You can rent a car directly from Athens International Airport (ATH). The drive to Volos takes about 3.5–4 hours and is very straightforward, mostly on major highways. This is a great option if you’d like flexibility or plan to explore the area around Volos. Taking the Bus Buses between Athens and Volos are frequent, comfortable, and affordable. Here’s how to do it: 1. From the airport, take a taxi or the metro to Liosion Bus Station (KTEL Liosion) in Athens. 2. At the station, look for buses operated by KTEL Magnesias, which run directly to Volos. 3. Tickets can be purchased at the station ticket counter or online in advance. Book bus tickets here: https://ktelvolou.e-ticketing.gr/Pages/Destinations.aspx The bus ride takes about 4–4.5 hours and drops you off at the Volos bus station in the city center. Most people at the station speak English, however here are some phrases to help. Helpful Greek phrases you can use: Θέλω ένα εισιτήριο για Βόλο, παρακαλώ. Thelo ena isitirio ya Volo, parakalo. (I would like one ticket to Volos, please.) Από πού φεύγει το λεωφορείο για Βόλο; Apo pou fevyi to leoforio ya Volo? (Where does the bus to Volos depart from?) Τι ώρα είναι το επόμενο δρομολόγιο; Ti ora ine to epomeno dromologio? (What time is the next departure?)

Question

Hotel Transportation

Answer

For your convenience, we will provide shuttle service between the hotels and both the ceremony and reception venues. To help us plan, please indicate on your RSVP if you will be using the shuttle. Shuttles will depart from Aegli and Xenia hotels ahead of the ceremony at 6:30 p.m. and will return guests to the hotels following the reception at 1:00 a.m. & 3:00 a.m. Guests are also welcome to drive on their own. There is parking available around the church, including a small lot in the back, as well as a parking lot at the reception venue. We hope this makes your journey to and from the celebration effortless and stress-free, so you can simply relax and enjoy the day with us.
