Things To Do
Aiguille du Midi
Take the cable car up to 3,842 m. Up on the summit there is a viewing platform, a glass skywalk and a cafe. From here skiers decend to the Vallée Blanche and climbers start many alpine routes.
La Flégère
Take the lift or hike up to La Flegere. From the top station you can enjoy the view or start a hike to Lac Blanc or back down to Chamonix via Chalet Floria. The route up to Flegere is a regular for us as it is so close to the Pearson Chalet. There is a great cafe at the top too!
Chamonix Golf Club
Situated near the village of Les Praz and a ~20min walk from Chamonix is the Golf Club. Our reception venue overlooks the course.
QC Terme Chamonix
From the outdoor infinity pool, with views directly towards the Aiguilles peaks and Mont-Blanc itself, the QC Terme Chamonix may be the most scenic spa in the Alps.
Le Comptoir du Vin sur Vin
An absolute favourite. Situated in the town centre and with a delightful terrasse come here for the wine and stay for the cuts of meat.
Le Petit Social
Our local. Great for morning coffee and pastries but also for the wine bar. Where you want to have a beer after a long hike.
Galerie Café des Aiguilles
Gallery meets cafe. Run by a lovely Canadian called Emily. A great spot for lunch or to take a peek at some incredible alpine photography.
Cool Cats
Seriously delicious hot dogs, nachos, with vegan options and a terrace.
Munchie
Asian fusion in the alps. Think tempura fried softshell crab “taco” and crispy fried shiitake and parmesan dumpling.
Restaurant Le Cap-Horn
Innovative dishes with French & Japanese flavors presented in rustic-chic surrounds with a terrace. Come here for Wagyu Hamburgers, Miso Glazed Salmon and Gambas a la Plancha.
Chai Guillaume
Run by Guillaume, a wine bar with a focus on local and small producers from France. Cheese and meat plates to accompany your wine.
Moody Coffee Roasters
Delicious coffee and cakes. En route to the Aiguille du Midi.
Glace de chamonix fait maison
Holly's (Maid of Honour) favourite ice cream place. She says the lavender flavoured ice cream is the best.
Courmayeur
Got a car? How about driving 30mins through the Tunnel Du Mont Blanc (11km tunnel that goes directly underneath Mont Blanc) to Italy. Enjoy pizza and gelato.
