Question

Can I bring a Guest/Date?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accomodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. We hope you understand and can still join us to celebrate our special day.

Are children invited?

Answer

Due to limited numbers, we are only having immediate family members children. Your invitation will be made out to "The {Your Last Name} Family" if your children have been invited, and "Mr. & Mrs." if only you and your significant other have been invited.

Can I drive to the venue?

Answer

Unfortunately the venue has limited car parks. The car parks have been reserved for our amazing vendors. Please do not drive to the venue unless you have been given permission to do so from the Bride and Groom.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a formal attire dress code for our wedding. Floor length dresses and suits. Black tie optional. *No jeans, shorts or baseball caps please*.

Are there any colours guests should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colours traditionally reserved for the bride- white, ivories and creams. Please try to avoid olive green as well, as that is reserved for the wedding party.

How do we get there?

Answer

Transport is provided for our guests. The charter buses will collect guests from opposite 74 Wyndham Street CBD (Hotels in the CBD; Central Business District recommended and listed) at strictly 2:00pm and will transfer to Kauri Bay Boomrock. PLEASE ARRIVE AT 1:30PM TO THE BUS MEET UP SPOT. The Bus will also collect guests from KBB and transfer back to pick up location. One bus will leave at 11pm (although it will not leave until it is full), and one at 12am.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by October 6th 2025.

What happens if I don't RSVP on time?

Answer

If we don't get an RSVP back by the date we have provided, it will be marked as a "No". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue in a timely manner. Due to this, we cannot accept late RSVP's. We hope that you understand!

What if I can't make it?

Answer

We understand the extra expense that it is for our USA guests, as it is a destination wedding for you. If you cannot attend, your presence will surely be missed. Please RSVP "No, sorry to miss it!". When does the Ceremony Start?

Answer

Guests will be arriving at the ceremony at 3pm. The ceremony will commence at 3:30. A bus will be provided for the guests invited at 2pm. There are limited car spaces so please avoid driving to the venue unless you have been given permission from the Bride and Groom. The reception is at the same venue as the ceremony, and will commence after the ceremony has finished.

What time does the wedding end?

Answer

The venue can keep us partying until 12am!! After that, the bus will take all guests back to the original pick up spot for drop off. One bus will leave at 11pm (although it will not leave until it is full), and one at 12am.

Do we need a passport?

Answer

Yes! If you are traveling from outside of New Zealand, you will need a valid passport to travel to New Zealand (expires no less than 6 months away). You will also need an authorization that's usually required for US passport holders to enter New Zealand. It's valid for two years and can take up to 72 hours to process. You can apply for an NZeTA on the Immigration New Zealand website; https://nzeta.immigration.govt.nz/

Is it a Summer Wedding?

Answer

Yes! New Zealand is in the southern hemisphere, so our wedding is a summer wedding. Summer in New Zealand is Sun, Dec 1, 2025 – Fri, Feb 28, 2026.

(usa) Do I need to tip in New Zealand

Answer

No, tipping is not customary or expected in New Zealand however if the service or experience you encountered was exceptional and you wish to reward someone for a job well done a small gratuity would be welcomed.
