Best Man
Originating back in the days of secondary school, Mark and Chris’s friendship has brought them from kicking a football outside the shops in Balally, to sharing a tent in Tomorrowland and today, the top table at Chris’s wedding. As many people know, Mark and Georgia worked together in Jumpzone and it was Mark who actually convinced Georgia to give Chris a chance which resulted in their first date, and many more after that. There is no doubt that Mark has the biggest smile in the room but he is also in the running of having the best laugh and sexiest dance moves so watch this space as Mark takes on his role as best man.
Maid of Honor
From their first encounter when Georgia transferred to 4th class in Notre Dame to forming a family unit in their home in Perth, Hollie is not only regarded as an amazing friend, but as the sister Chris never had. Already owning the title of Lennies godmother, Hollie has a new crown to wear as maid of Honour and it is truly deserved. Her efforts and time put into the wedding and bridal preparations were above and beyond and her support, loyalty and kindness, particularly throughout Georgias pregnancy, along with her genuine affection for Georgia and Chris as a couple and their new little family, is something they are so appreciative of.
Groomsman
With trips and holidays under their belt including Magaluf, Amsterdam and multiple rounds at Electric picnic, Daragh and Chris have had their fair share of fun. Both Daragh and Chris share a passion for GAA, sparking, jaegar bomb specials and bad dance moves and with that combination it is no surprise that Daragh was asked to take a seat at the top table. From cold building sites in dublin to sunny poolside pints in Oz, Daragh and Chris’s friendship has gone from strength to strength and his phone calls to check in during Georgias pregnancy along with his loyalty and ability to put manners on Chris makes him an asset to the grooms squad.
Bridesmaid
The one and only sister of the Bride! From the days of plaiting Georgias hair for a disco or birthday party to recently designing and making the beautiful wedding website, despite being the younger sister Ava has been the most amazing help, stepping up when needed. Avas willingness in the past to be a hairdresser, beautician, therapist and fashion advisor has now transitioned into being an aunt and Godmother, childminder, decor designer, event organiser and bridesmaid- to name a few! No matter the time of day (or night) Ava has pulled her sleeves up and her support and compassion especially in the first few weeks with James was monumental. Georgia is both delighted and proud to have her standing with her today as her bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Fellow Morley Gaels man Dutchy, stands as the Aussie representative on the grooms squad. Dutchys passion for rocks and geology along with Chris’s passion for messing and joking sparked an uncanny friendship that rapidly brought Dutchy and Patsy from “friends from GAA” to pillars of their Aussie family. From unsuccessful attempts at fishing to severe struggles assembling a BBQ, they may not be Bunnings best, but they certainly know how to look on the lighter side and not take themselves too seriously. Sharing tips and tricks from career advice, engagement rings to how to hold a baby, both Chris and Dutchy are happy to chip in and lend a hand no matter what’s needed and Dutchys help over the past few months in particular has been invaluable. There was no better man for the Aussie Representative.
Bridesmaid
Our Aussie representative! A fellow nurse and member of our Aussie family, Patsy has been one of Georgias closest friends since moving to Perth, having only moved over with Dutchy the month before! The adventures and memories made have been unforgettable, from camping and BBQs to weeknight dinners and packing up our house, Patsy has been such a huge support and help to Georgia and Chris. Without herself and Dutchy, their experience in Perth would not have been the same and they are so fortunate to have built such an amazing friendship and bond. Before leaving Perth it was said that we have become family and we wholeheartedly agree, making there no better woman to have as our Aussie bridesmaid.
