How It All Began

As many of you know, Georgia's family owns a restaurant in Somers Point, NJ. One day, a family friend was dining at the restaurant and casually mentioned a nice, single, Greek dentist to Georgia's Thea Anthoula. This family friend, Casey, happened to marry one of Jonathan's good childhood friends, Evan, so they both had an inkling that it could be a perfect match. While normally those types of blind setups rarely work, Georgia had a strong feeling something special would come from this meeting. So, she made it her New Years resolution in 2017 to reach out to Jonathan. Soon after, our blind date was scheduled...only to be postponed thanks to Villanova basketball. Finally, we met for dinner in Philadelphia and there was an instant spark! The date lasted for hours and right away we both knew that something special was forming. So much so that only a few months later, Jonathan invited Georgia to join his friends to travel to France. Coincidentally, Georgia was already scheduled to be in France for a work trip during the same time - talk about a heavenly nudge! The stakes were high for an international vacation with a group of strangers and a very young relationship. However, the trip was a great success and we grew even more confident in our future. In September 2020, Jonathan surprised Georgia on her favorite beach in Longport, NJ, by dropping down on one knee at sunset and asking her to marry him! Now we are excited to celebrate our wedding with the family and friends we love and cherish! We can't wait for our Big Fat Greek Wedding and for you to be part of the party!
