Oak Island Lighthouse

Visit downtown Southport for great local seafood and cute shops. Take a break at the swings on the waterfront overlooking Bald Head Island.

You can also visit the sites where Nicholas Sparks' Safe Haven was filmed.

Enjoy the ferry ride over to Fort Fisher where you can visit the Fort Fisher Aquarium as well as Fort Fisher Historic Site. Carolina Beach State Park isn't too far from there either!
