George and Latasha met at the bar at Chili's. We were both fairly new to the Somerset/ New Brunswick area. George moved from the Fort Washington, Maryland to pursue a PhD in higher education. Latasha moved from Asbury Park for more manager opportunities in the optical field. As we drank margaritas at the bar, sparks flew and the rest will be history. . .

George knew right away he wanted to build a legacy with Latasha. As time went by, Latasha learned that George was a man of his word. Within a few months planning for the future came easily. The couple were on a trip to Jamaica and went to a show featuring African beats, drums, and dance. George and Latasha sat mesmerized and walked back to Catcha Falling Star resort to reflect under the stars. George reached into his pocket, pulled out a ring and asked, "Will you marry me?" Tash replied "Yes!"
