We're getting married!

We met at the University of Michigan, sometime in the first week of classes in August of 2021 for our Masters of Accounting program. Neither of us can remember the first time we met, we were all of the sudden in the same friend group. George always walked Julia home and we would stand at a lamp post on the corner street of Julia's house talking endlessly. After many nights out and too many study sessions, George asked Julia to go to dinner. After graduation, we stayed in Ann Arbor spending our days studying for the CPA exams and enjoying all that Ann Arbor had to offer. At the end of the summer, Julia moved to Seattle and George stayed local to Detroit. For two years, we took every opportunity to fly across the country for the weekend soaking up every minute and dreading the airport drop-off. In the times apart, we spent our time on phone calls and facetime planning the next time we would get to see each other. We made the decision to close the gap in July 2024 in Detroit. After settling in Detroit, George popped the question with a surprise proposal back where it all started, in Ann Arbor. Julia happily said yes! And now we cannot wait to celebrate with you all in Spring 2026!
