We met in high school and we developed a really good friendship . George was my best guy friend and we had a close bond . We would tell each other everything . That bond grew to something more and we were no longer just friends. It all started with him saying he liked this girl but he didn’t know how to tell her because this girl was different from the other girls . George was not shy especially around girls so, I was like stop playing and just tell her. We carried on with our conversation like normal and before we ended our call he told me hey, that girl i’m telling you about it’s you . My heart dropped because for those that knew me well in high school knew I had feelings for him and wanted something more than just friendship . Of course I was the happiest girl ever and was like yes, i got him . So our love journey began. Even though our high school love story was short due to me graduating from high school and George staying behind since I was a year older than him. For those that knew George very well during that time, knew he was a ladies man . He decided it was best for us to go our separate ways so he could enjoy being young and free, and it probably was the best thing for him to do at that time as George says . My heart was broken as I felt he was my first true love and that we were meant to be together but, we each went are separate ways and it was hard as we had mutual friends and would cross paths from time to time . We both proceeded to move on and live our lives . Little did we both know that life would bring us back together after 12 years . We reconnected through Facebook with a simple message that George sent me of Hey what’s up ? How you been ? Long time , hit me up so we can catch up … smiley face and once again as I saw that message my heart dropped and all these feelings and emotions came back . That message lead to more messages which lead to us meeting up . I was so nervous to see him for the first time again after so many years . I thought it was going to be awkward or hard but , it was like as if time did not come between us . We picked up so naturally from where we left off and had great conversation. It was a fun night . We continued to hang out and see each other and go places together and time just passed us by . Being in a relationship together was probably the last thing we both had in mind when we had reconnected and especially having a child together but , here we are today still together and with a beautiful family . I am a true believer that everything in life happens for a reason . On August 25th I will be marrying the love of my life 12 years later on the day we reconnected and started our love story once again .
