Wherever you are flying out of, you will need to fly into Dublin International Airport, (DUB). There are buses providing transportation from the airport to Dublin city center (city centre in Ireland) every 15-20 minutes that are comfortable and cheap! Roughly €8 for the trip. Dublin is a very walkable city, and a rental car is not necessary. If you plan on traveling around the country a bit, trains go nearly everywhere from both Hueston or Connolly Station. Our favorite places to visit are Galway, Kerry, Wicklow, and Bray. For a nice day trip to the Irish seaside, you can hop on the dart (above ground subway) at the Dublin City Center and travel to the quaint town of Bray in under 45 minutes.
Travel Note
We've done a lot of accommodation searching to find the best places to stay in Dublin, and Airbnb definitely has the best rates. There are also many sweet Bed and Breakfast spots in Ireland that could definitely use some support after the pandemic. If you decide you are in need of a European vacation after the past couple of years inside, you can travel from Dublin to many other countries for extremely low airfare on Ryan Air.
