Named one of the worlds 50 best beaches. Balandra Beach is now a protected area with a limit on the number of visitors per day. The beach is open for two time slots: 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm. To avoid missing out, it is best to arrive early, as there is a limit to the number of people allowed in each time slot. However, this also means that the beach never gets too crowded.
Walk the Malecon, an entirely paved ocean front path. There you will also find shops and restaurants, all with a spectacular view.
