For a small town St Andrews has an abundance of great cafes, bars and restaurants. Legend has it that the town has one of the highest ratios of pubs to people in the country! There's plenty great options for food and drink to choose from, including the famous Janetta's ice cream (definitely worth the queue), the Northpoint Cafe (rumoured where Kate and Wills had their first date), and plenty of fresh scottish seafood, amongst many more great eateries.
The historic St Andrews town has plenty to offer. See the ancient cathedral and castle (there's even a secret underground passage), wander through the cobbled streets and explore the many lovely shops and boutiques. Film lovers amonst you can check out the retro New Picture House. And there is of course lots of golf! For those less handy with a golf club the Himalayas Putting course is a fun but challenging game for all abilities. Follow your game with lunch at the club house and a walk along the beach.
