If you'd prefer more non-outdoor activities and easier access to amenities, Sun Valley is a good option. Keep in mind it's about 1 hour from Stanley, so you'll have a longer drive to wedding events. There are many hotel options including Sun Valley lodge, which has been featured in many movies.

Even in summer, evenings can be chilly in Stanley. Bring layers and check the weather closer to the wedding date.
Yes! Stanley sits at a base elevation of 6,300 ft. If you're planning to hike to higher elevations, we encourage arriving at least one day early to acclimate.
