Over Thanksgiving week my (Miranda) 2 sisters-in-law set up a Hinge profile for her and on December 1st, 2020 Geoffrey reached out to her. We began sending books of messages that evening and continued until a few days later Geoffrey asked me out on our first date, I had to say no due to a planned vacation happening that weekend. The following week Geoffrey asked me out again, and on December 14 we had our first date. After some confusion on car colors and parking at Red Robin, we met for the first time. We were both head-over-heels from the first moment, apples being thrown and hugs made it certain. We are MFEO

We planned to celebrate our 2 year anniversary at the Reelfoot Lake Christmas lights show, a large outbreak of tornados caused widespread damage to that area and our plans adjusted. Discovery Park also had a walk through Christmas light show and all of the proceeds were going to the victims of the tornado outbreak. During our walk through I (Miranda) was hoping and dreaming that Geoffrey would propose, After walking all the way through and circling back, I did not know Geoffrey had chosen the place he wanted to propose. As we came back through the area, there was a large fountain surrounded by lights. When we arrived there a couple was getting engaged, changing Geoffrey's plan for the 2nd time today. I wanted to sit and watch, it was sweet and adorable. After a few minutes Geoffrey steered us to a garden area that was quiet, without anyone else becoming engaged. While walking through we stopped to talk under an arbor and Geoffrey knelt down and asked the big question, "Will you marry me?" I cried the whole time and squeaked out a "YES!!!"
