At this time, the state of Pennsylvania still requires 6-feet social distancing and the wearing of masks indoors. The Governor has released a statement that he will lift the mask mandate once we reach 70% vaccination of residents. We will keep our website as up to date as possible so keep checking back for information! Also, at this time, The Susquehanna Club will be doing screening prior to allowing guests through the gate. Be prepared to have your temperature checked along with showing your IDS. There are no more quarantining requirements for travel in the state of Pennsylvania.
*We have officially decided to postpone our date as of January 27, 2021. Our new date is Saturday, September 4, 2021. Please note that this is the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, so please plan accordingly! *We WILL NOT cancel our forever! <3
YES! Geoff and Colleen adore kids! Have little ones and you want to bring 'em? Do it! Want to leave them at home with a babysitter? That's your choice! *Also kids meals are available (chicken fingers and fries)!
We will do our best to accommodate all dietary restrictions within reason! Please be sure to advise us of your particular needs when RSVPing! Thank you! *Kids meals are available (chicken fingers and fries)!
For the wedding, just you, your family members, and a mask (due to COVID-19 restrictions). For the reception, you will need your ID in case the guards are present and checking IDs at the gate for entrance just onto the edge of the army depot in New Cumberland where the Susquehanna Club is located. Plus, if you are of drinking age and want to drink, you'll certainly need an ID for that too! *At this time masks are still required.
The church has two parking lots, one adjacent to the church and one about a block up from the church, with ample street parking surrounding the building. We do expect many guests to be in attendance, so please arrive with plenty of time to find parking and seating for the ceremony to begin promptly at 3:00 p.m.
Once passed the Ross Ave gate with the Susquehanna Club on your left, you will proceed to the parking lot on the left just after the building. In case of another event at the same time (there are two ballrooms--we are in the main/large ballroom with the pillars), be sure to arrive early to allow for plenty of time to find parking. The cocktail hour begins at 5:00 p.m. with dinner being served (buffet style) at 6:00 p.m.).
Getting to the reception venue is actually very easy and it's just the next town over! (The church is located at 509 Hummel Ave, Lemoyne, PA 17043) From the church, you will want to get onto Hummel Ave and head towards S Third Street (when facing Hummel Ave and coming out of the front doors of the church, you would go left down Hummel). The parking lots are one way in and one way out, so you will need to exit the lot via right on the back alley (Apple Street), right onto Fifth Street, and then Left onto Hummel Avenue. From Hummel, Turn right onto S Third S and stay straight on this road all the way through New Cumberland (This road will turn into Bridge Street). Stay on this road until you cross the bridge (only one bridge). After crossing the bridge, you will want to immediately make a left at the traffic light onto Ross Avenue. Follow Ross Avenue all the way to the end of the road and have your photo IDs/passports ready for any security guards on duty when you come to the gate.
We have a hotel block set with Holiday Inn Express in New Cumberland. Please check our Travel page for details and group codes and booking. There are many hotels available in the area, but there are hotels we recommend located conveniently between the ceremony and reception sites.
We would like it to be a more formal affair, but no need to go out and buy a new gown or tuxedo! Evening dresses, cocktail dresses, slacks, ties, bow-ties, button-down shirts, etc. are just fine! As my parents or grandparents would say, "your Sunday best" or fancy dinner wear. *Also, masks are still required at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Yes.....but please keep it sparing! We have a professional photographer onsite that will be taking beautiful photos and may catch your face behind a phone...and we don't want that and I'm sure you don't either! Feel free to snap photos before/after ceremony and if you must during be quick and not taking photos too often! At the reception, feel free to snap away--we encourage it! But, as always please be courteous to our photographer! She is there to catch your lovely faces not your phones! This way we can share some great memories together without being glued to our phones. Thank you!
Rain, sun, snow, global pandemic, the wedding is on! We are inside, so we will be good! Hopefully we won't need to postpone again due to other unforeseen circumstances (like changes with the pandemic...).
