Things To Do

Mendocino County is filled with magic places. From the coastline where every little town is more beautiful than the other, to the redwood forests and mountains, and many other little oasis scattered all over this sacred land. Here we'll share with you our favorite spots

Solar Living Center

The Solar Living Institute is the educational arm of EcoTerra – a 12-acre solar-powered training, demonstration, and event center for sustainable living in Mendocino County, California. (We took that from the website but it also is THE best cannabis dispensary you've ever seen)

City of Ten Thousand Buddhas

4951 Bodhi Way, Ukiah, CA 95482
, (707) 462-0939

The City is an international Buddhist community and monastery founded by Hsuan Hua, an important figure in Western Buddhism. It is one of the first Chan Buddhist temples in the United States, and one of the largest Buddhist communities in the Western Hemisphere.

Orr Hot Springs Resort

13201 Orr Springs Road, Ukiah, CA 95482
, (707) 462-6277

Historic, quaint and quiet mineral hot springs with soaking pools 107 degrees. This clothing optional resort encompasses twenty-seven acres at the headwaters of the Big River. Nestled deep in a valley surrounded by northern Californias redwoods, Orr is just 12 miles west of Ukiah, or 30 miles east of Mendocino on the Orr Springs Road, making it an easy day trip or overnight destination. The day-use option is good from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with full access to the kitchen space and refrigerators, while overnight guests may soak all night long.

Vichy Springs Resort

2605 Vichy Springs Road, Ukiah, CA 95482
, (707) 462-9515

Vichy Springs is the best of two worlds a hot springs resort and a country inn. Vichy has rooms and cottages for overnight stays which include breakfast, full use of the naturally warm and carbonated Vichy baths (unique in North America) and hot soaking pool at any time and the Olympic size swimming pool in season

Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve

15825 Orr Springs Road, Ukiah, CA 95482

1.323 acres in the Coastal Range of Mendo. The Reserve occupies the headwaters of Montgomery Creek, a tributary of Big River, which flows into the Pacific Ocean at Mendocino Headlands State Park. The virgin groves of Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) in Montgomery Woods are examples of a now rare upland riparian meadow habitat; most other preserved redwood groves are on broad alluvial plains.

Drive-Thru Tree Park

67402 Drive Thru Tree Road, Leggett, CA 95585
, (707) 925-6464

Drive-Thru Tree Park is a piece of paradise in Northern California where you can drive your car through a Giant Sequoia, hike trails to photograph wild life or just sit and have a nice picnic
