Would have been Matron of Honor
Lakyn is the sister who can make you laugh, keep you grounded, and somehow keep you on your toes all at once. She’s the organized one, the dependable one, and the one who shows up. She’s also my book buddy, my sounding board, and the person who made me an aunt (still the best promotion I’ve ever received outside of being a wife). Over the years, she’s encouraged me to stay true to who I am, nudged me forward when I needed it, and quietly supported every part of my journey. Her love and guidance have shaped so much of who I am, and I’ll forever be grateful for the role she has played in my life. Also, she is the best mom in the world. Her boys are so lucky to have her.
Would have been Matron of Honor
Taryn is my other funny, loving, and endlessly encouraging sisters. She helped me learn not to limit myself to society’s expectations or standards. She has been by my side through both the best and the most difficult moments of my life, whether that was in the Ripon College dorms or during long phone calls between Indiana and Phoenix. She, along with the rest of my family, taught me that certain conditions do not define who we are. Her unwavering belief in me has had a lasting impact on my life, and I am deeply grateful for her love and support.
Former bride, current wife
Former bride, current wife, and forever grateful for the life they are building together. She married her best friend, chose joy over tradition, and believes that love is best celebrated with good food, meaningful conversations, and the people who matter most. This gathering is Gs way of sharing one year of happiness, gratitude, and love with all of you.
Would have been groomsmen, brother of the wife
Brother of the wife and is known for having jokes for days and a lifelong commitment to keeping things entertaining. Growing up together meant plenty of roughhousing and competitive energy, which has since evolved into a bantering relationship. Currently surviving law school and questioning his life choices, but very much looking forward to the day he can officially call himself a lawyer.
Would have been best man, brother of the husband
Goofy, competitive, and endlessly entertaining, he has been a constant presence throughout every stage of life. Growing up together with Quincy meant competition in just about everything, which somehow turned into motivation to always be better. He is the one who shares the same thought process as the groom, and brings humor into every moment. A true built-in motivator and comedic counterpart, he plays an important role in both their lives and this celebration.
Would have been Maid of Honor
Morgan and Gensyn’s friendship proves the world is both big and incredibly small. They met just two months before moving in together after relocating from Minnesota to Arizona for grad school, only to later discover Quincy had lived across the hall from her during their first year of college. Through balancing grad school and full-time jobs, they became each other’s constant support system. Even when an ocean separated them, Morgan has always been Gensyn’s number one girl; and would have proudly stood by her side as Maid of Honor. From their unbreakable bond to their dogs’ matching friendship, life is simply better together.
